Terms & Conditions for .uk Domains

Registration

When you register a .uk domain with Howlerz Domains, that registration is made directly with Nominet, the official registry for .uk names. Howlerz Domains takes the role of registrar and administrative contact.

The name is registered under the customer’s own details, not under Howlerz Domains. It is up to the customer to make sure the information given at registration is correct.

A registration grants the right to use the name for the period paid for and no longer. To keep using it, you must renew on time. If a name isn’t renewed it may move into a suspension period and could eventually be released for others to take.

Pricing

Our usual yearly price to register or renew a .uk domain is £10. This amount can change, and we will let customers know before any adjustment takes effect.

We do not charge anything to move a domain to a different registrar.

Renewals

Keeping a domain renewed before it expires is the customer’s responsibility. Where we can, we send reminders ahead of the expiry date — usually around 30 days and again 7 days beforehand.

We do our best to send these reminders but can’t promise they will always arrive, so please keep your contact details up to date to make sure you receive them.

Transfers

You are free to move your domain to another registrar whenever you like, in line with Nominet’s transfer rules. There is no charge to transfer a name away from us. You can also bring an existing .uk domain across to Howlerz Domains from another registrar free of charge.

Acceptable Use

Names registered with Howlerz Domains must not be put to any unlawful use — this includes, but is not limited to, phishing, spreading malware, fraud, or breaching intellectual property rights. We reserve the right to suspend service where a name is found to break these terms or Nominet’s policies.

Limitation of Liability

Howlerz Domains is not responsible for any loss or damage that results from a domain not being renewed, from service interruptions caused by third parties, or from steps Nominet takes under its own policies. Any liability we do have is capped at the fees paid for the domain in question.

Disputes

Complaints and disputes about .uk registrations are dealt with under Nominet’s Dispute Resolution Service (DRS) rules and procedures. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
